No one understands the unique challenges and joys of single parenting like other single parents. That's why no matter how or why you became a single parent, Capital Area Single Parents (formerly Capital Area PWP...a chapter of Parents without Partners, Inc.) is for you. Capital Area Single Parents is a group of newly separated, divorced, widowed, adoptive, and remarried parents offering mutual support and social functions focused on life stages of single parents and their children. 

Meet other local LGBT parents and wannabe parents and their families. Discuss important topics, such as coming out to your children, handling your child's peer concerns, separation and/or divorce, school activism, playgroups, issues encountered in mostly straight neighborhoods, bridging the gap for kids, etc. Get together for regular social, fun, and informational events and activities.
